I can already see how this is going to end, but that depends on whether or not zxin decides to be contrarian. Contrarianism won't be an issue if someone else decides to judge, though.

Apparently there was a Profile file already inside CTD2's mod folder in the "[All] Modcon 2017 Submissions" package. Methinks you shouldn't have made it automatically make a Profile upon starting up in case of something like this happening.

I did not see any kind of intro whatsoever. I opened the .exe, got sent to the title screen, and immediately went into Towers mode.

Might as well respond to a few things you mentioned: Glad you liked the mod... at least, if I'm interpreting "not too bad" correctly. Here's to hoping that you enjoy yourself with the other three entries.

So do a lot of caves that have a somewhat stable amount of sunlight filtering through their openings and suitable places for the plants to grow, tropical or not.

Emphasis on "supposed to be". I only found two levels that could be remotely considered tropical, but neither conveyed the idea nearly well enough. Scraps of sand, water, and bkFog as the background? Grass that's clearly underground due to usage of bkGreen?

I would rather not spend who knows how long dying in one hit to spikes with Cave Story's floaty physics, but more power to the people who will inevitably give this a go.

I tried searching through the readme.txt in between waves but CTRL+F "frame" and similar were turning up nothing, with "frame" and similar being used because all I had to go off of was the insane FPS. If the readme was a little more organized and well-formatted, then maybe I would have been more...

You can use <SNP to make the crystals spawn without needing a billion null entities. I've done it a couple times in my mods, though I really wish there was a way to make those crystals spawn in as medium or large ones as opposed to the normal small crystals.
