Never mind, I found out the problem. When I opened up the exe file in CE the first time, I forgot to check the "Remove copyright" tab before trying to save a custom map, and for some reason once you do that, even if you get rid of the copyright, CE will still give you an error. Had to install...

I did and it worked but, for some reason when I look back at the properties of the "doukutsu" folder, I saw that the read-only tab was still checked. When I tried again, the whole process of de-copyrighting the files went alot faster (about 10 secs). Each time I try this, it produces the same...
