if you want to at least emulate yourself some CRT experience, i recommend playing You Have To Win The Game on steam
that's a big shame, though, there's something special about those old CRTs. then again it could be nostalgia

i may be able to get it today (the person giving it away email'd me saying they would be home this evening)

the thing about CRT TV's for me is I used them a lot during my childhood from what I remember. Also, they have some serious advantages for playing older games, like having no input delay what-so-ever, which is really nice. Also some other things that I'm too lazy to list -- you can research CRTs to understand more lol

oh, absolutely! and i know the advantages of CRTs over LCD displays, i just, i don't know. i focused more on the AESTHETICS instead of actual functionality in my reply : P

i do think i genuinely prefer CRTs visually, but that might be my nostalgia speaking
