I sorta do anti aliasing how they did in the original pokemon games. Also, shift darker colors to blue, and brighter colors to orange or yellow. http://www.spriters-resource.com/game_boy_advance/pokeem/

There should be a fan-made crossover.

It could look more natural if you put a green eye instead of the "^" there.

The eyes were a pain for me to do, so I gave up and used ^, possibly later I'll figure something out.

It's pretty good, I like it.
In fact, with some alteration, it could pass as kawaii.

yeah. There's other way to improve but you can't explain it to others once you know how to do them.
