Yeah I'd go for it. It's basically a straight upgrade from 8.

Do you lose any files?

Nope. I copied some of my important files to a flash drive just to be safe, but absolutely everything was intact when it was finished with the setup.

This is a bit redundant, but do you have Win 8 or 8.1? For me, i had to upgrade to Windows 8.1 from an up-to-date Windows 8 just so I can make that up-to-date so I can upgrade to Windows 10.

I don't like the start menu layout, and with the way my computer handles things, everything will likely stop working suddenly after messing with it. Damn this integrated CPU-GPU! You ruin everything!

It's probaly better than W8(8.1 or not) since the start menu in W8 is total garbage.
If your menus start breaking on W10, then use alt+F4 to restart windows, and hold shift while it's closing windows. This will allow you to access a menu that includes reverting back to your previous version of windows. This would kinda be the only fix to that when the menus break because the broken menus are needed to normally revert.

I feel like I'm the last Windows 7 user.

I still use windows 7, I only shortly used 10 until my menus broke.

Can I make it ANY more clear. Windows 10. IS GARBAGE. Keep to 7 or the gross 8.

Any evidence to backup your statement?

The whole privacy thing that they had going, the almost force to win8/8.1 users to switch. I'm staying with 7 until a good OS comes out.

My only complaint with Windows 10 is how it makes my computer tell me it has updated. It either makes the taskbar almost stop working, or disable my audio. Both of which I have to restart my computer to.

@Attheshows You do realize Windows 10 is Microsoft's last OS? That's why they skipped 9, since it'd be objectively cooler/better to stop on 10.
