Depends where you live
DC's got the worst public schools in the country
But if you go just a little bit south you got Virginia public schools which are like the fucking savior of all public education ever
I disagree, Dunc. Public school teaches you many things that you would never learn if you were homeschooled, and I am not talking about straight-up education. Many social norms and customs are most easily figured out this way, and it teaches you all about the kinds of people you dislike (and maybe even how to deal with them). That's not to mention that it's probably where most people will end up meeting a lot of their friends. This isn't to say that none of this is possible if you're homeschooled, but going to an actual school is probably the easiest way.
Update: a classmate has set herself on fire
The substitute from earlier is teaching this class; she's been gone getting photocopies for 15 minutes
Some boys are playing baseball with crutches
tpcool has it right
you aint never gonna learn how to play crutch baseball in homeschool, or how to dodge crutches being swung by maladjusted 14-year-olds.
