Really? I haven't noticed.

A lot of accounts are being validated. A new name is practically being created every 20 minutes. I wonder if this is just a coincidence or something going on with the system.

They're called spambots. And the reason they are all "validating" is because IPBoard successfully blocked them from joining.

Oh, okay. I wonder how, or why so many accounts can be created, and if they can ever be removed. :/
