Found that in my first run through the game. ^_^

Did you know that going back to Prof. Oak after beating Blue outside Vermillion gives you 5 Pokeballs?

Because I didn't. D:

That's cool. ^_^

I actually restarted fairly recently as well! I was doing a Mew-only run...but somehow the game loses its luster when you have a completely broken Lv 43 Mew at Saffron City. <img src='http://www.cavestory.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':p' />

So on a whim, I restarted a few days ago. I guess this time I'm going for a very standard, legitimate playthrough with no glitches and using Pokémon I don't usually use. To that end, I picked Bulbasaur (I usually go for Charmander) and named him Mint.

Of course, I play Red very sporadically, so I didn't get much farther before my attention was once again stolen by Emerald. ~w~

I don't play emerald much, since i also restarted yellow trying to get rid of pikachu, and continued playing firered for no apparent reason except i chose charmander and couldn't beat brock.

You couldn't beat him? Hm...

It's actually easier in that game, you know. Grind enough and Charmander gains Metal Claw, which is pretty much like going through the Fighting Dojo with a Mew.

I think Charmander learns it at Lv 7, but I'm not sure, since I don't own FireRed.

It learns it at lvl 13, i still couldn't beat Brock with charmander

Sheesh, is he on steroids in that game or something? I wouldn't consider Brock very difficult, but...
