• Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

Actually, if you truly wanted to make what I was planning to make, you couldn't do it in Cave Story, since I have some advanced physics (mainly being slippery ice) and character actions (like aiming the bow in more than 4 directions and using the hookshot, etc).

But you can totally just take what you want from my project and make up your own story and such. Whatever you take, you can credit me for accordingly. It really is impossible to make the game I had planned as a mod; you'd have to use some kind of programming language to actually pull it off. That's why I was creating it in Game Maker. I'm not sure if I mentioned that elsewhere or not.

I was pretty much saying, don't worry about trying to make it just like my original idea. I didn't even tell you how I planned to make semi-randomly generated areas. Plus, the game had practically no story.

Story:
Link is sleeping in his bed when he is suddenly awoken by a Wizzrobe named Tangle. Tangle is a bored little troublemaker who wants to play a "game" with Link. Tangle reveals to Link that he has create a massive dungeon that he will transport Link to, and Link must escape the dungeon in order to win the game. Failure means death. Tangle then transports Link into this dungeon and Link must complete it in order to escape.

That's really all there is to the story. The game was designed to offer a new experience every play through by randomly generating various rooms with different items, enemies, and even with some puzzles.

Just saying, when you do get your first mod done and if you still feel like doing a Zelda-meets-CS mod, don't feel like you have to follow my original idea. It's a pretty tough thing to code, and the story isn't strong at all. You could probably come up with a better idea and just use some of the graphics I made.
