Apparently ipboard dislikes capital HTTPs

I tried joining sometime last year but every time I kept getting an error.
Apparently, no matter what username I decide to use, apparently somebody already exists there with that username. Tried "Shane", "SBaneN", "Wayne Jakobus Michael", "WJM the Dark Master of Death and Destruction" (which also happened to be the longest username I've ever used anywhere) and "Shaun Engiabo".

Why this happens, I have no idea.
Also, I end up here:

(if this is the case, I think it's because it requires one to be a member, but I'm not certain)
(also, because I can't open spoilers due to having to use a proxy server to access these forums, I can't make certain if this is the case)

I got to that page as well when I clicked on that link, Shane, but I managed to get the the forums anyway.
