Thats opinion I guess. Maybe standard one you always see him as.
I'd say 7/9.

Haha, maybe he gets more added to him when he eats?
And what happens to those ghosts? I'm sure they don't give a lot of calories.

None at all, since they aren't actually digested.
Anyway, you can figure it out exactly by measuring the slope of his lips (easy to do) and figure out the angle of the acute vertex of the isosceles triange formed by his empty mouth. Then you divide that by 360 and bam, you have a fraction. I won't do this because my geometry's rusty and I have an essay to write, and I am currently procrastinating. Putting off work to do more boring work is just messed up.
Someone tell me the result of mathinating this, though.

I think the way you typically see him is at about 5/6 (i.e. his lips form a 60 degree angle).

Looking at the pixels...

He takes up a 13x13 square. The area of the circle his sprite makes in the square is 137. The area he actually takes up of the circle when his mouth is kinda half open (aka the sprite normally associated with him) is 110.

Therefore he represents the fraction 110/137 (based purely off of the sprites from the original); This fraction cannot be simplified any further due to 137 being a prime number. This is a rather complex fraction, but it's pretty close to 4/5 if you do the calculations.
