(Spoilers maybe?) If Pixel were to make a sequel to cave story, would it continue from the first game, or make an entirely new one.

Now, I know Pixel said that there won't be a new Cave Story, but this is just hypothetical.

In my opinion, it will just be a new plot with new characters as it already seems kind of hard to continue from the best ending.

this has probably also been said before but if there were to ever be an official continuation to cave story it would most likely be a prequel, it makes the most sense

tbh i wouldn't particularly mind if cave story's official fate was cameoing in other games, i enjoyed quote and curly in blade strangers, but i wish they'd use more characters than just those two

Never say never, if there would be an animated series, I can imagine it going more in the line of fanmade animations like Metal Gear Awesome, Underpants, or Pokemon Golder. It worked for those animations made for Sonic Mania.

I could but I feel like I'll be murdered in my sleep if I do so I'm just gonna lean on the fact that Senyakyo is a yuri dating sim / metroidvania, making it the logical outcome of Cave++

Kero Blaster is the CS sequel we deserve but I want more Kero Blaster bc it's fun, let's hope the 8 directional kero blaster aiming found in the new game is a tease for what's to come.
