At around 4:40 in this video you can a see a never-before seen (or heard xDDD) song that was apparently used by Pixel himself in Cave Story. There are rumors that it's unlockable. Anyone know anything about this?

 

I think I remember coming across this song by accident.

 

Really? Under which circumstances, or should I say, under how many grams of top grass did you encounter this song?

 

Is it inside the code of the map? I'm going into the script to find it. I hope this isn't a hoax.

If you scream 420 Blaze it at a person you are skyping with while holding 420 on your keyboard it activates a flag. Start up Cave Story version 1.0.0.9 and go to mimiga village, talk to mahin, then talk to jack, and then talk to the computer in arthurs house. That's how I remember it.

 

Okay, it's apparently hard-coded into the game. That's why I couldn't find it.

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about this. It's apparently a homage to bonus tracks that used to appear in old SNES carts, like in Chrono Trigger:

He wakes up in a pile of plants, accidentally locking himself out his house, and upon return swearing oath to never again fall to the pressure, so he gives his fiery device away, the one which caused this mess, to the weird guy who happened to walk by. This man later goes on a journey of shooting mystical appearing jellyfish flying outside of water, and appearing out of nowhere after talking to this weirdly off-colored Mimiga... who gives you a memento... and then Climbing out a fireplace into narnia "the other side", where frogs of many wonders, a single taste adding to the pleasure, appear. The guy is spooked though, as ghostly ghouls pop out of the floor to attack! At the end of this journey, a familiar boxed foe appears, morphs into a giant huge toad, and then after weird stuff happens it all returns to normalcy.

Except that... once you meet Kazuma, he immediately loses his ability to operate machinery.

The fireball, useful only in the map that it is given in.

I think that it is special, just not the kind of cool and amazing that I wanted. I wanted the thrill of a new discovery, not the thrill of weed.

 

LOL now whenever I hear the Grasstown song I think of this video and burst out laughing.

Not good when you're playing Jenka's Nightmare.

 

Simply seeing "When the pimp's in the crib ma drop it like it's hot" was enough to make me laugh before I even watch the video.
