Will be sure to DL this when I get a better computer...

This dinosaur is great for Total Annihilation...
Not so much for Cave Story.
Go figure.

Also, welcome.

Ok, it needs a lot of work. I like the tilesets and the character design, but why is it that the first guns you get are incredible?

Also, with the "cheater machine," there is a glitch so you can keep getting lives. So, uh yeah, fix that.

But with more work, I'm sure it will turn out really awesome!

I think that's a case of "It's not a bug, it's a feature."
I mean, if it's called the cheater machine...

It makes the game way to easy!

There should not be any "cheater machine".

And the Time Scorcher should level up on the first energy crystal, like the Nemesis.

Well, it's a matter for Mike1108 to decide.
Though I would *personally* agree that yes, unlimited lives would make it far too easy.
Then again, as a matter of course, CS had unlimited lives, too, so... :/
On the plus side, this might just motivate me to get back to work on TDP.

I don't quite understand the door to the Seal Chamber after the first boss, and you obviously don't speak English very well (which is fine, really), but other than that it was a pretty good mod. Once I got the hang of how you set up your levels, it was a breeze.

And I almost laughed when I got the Impulse to level 3.

Edit: First building in the city crashes your game. Second building cannot be entered due to the fact that the tile under it can be passed through. The third building does nothing. I found four more buildings, but I don't want to try them out. This looks like the end of the demo. It might not be, since I didn't check any of the buildings after the concrete maze, but I'll probably look into that eventually.

Re-edit: Okay, the buildings do nothing. That was the end of the demo. I liked it.

Hey, this is really neato! Nothing like just some good old-fashioned platforming! The difficulty on the first level was just perfect; a fun challenge but not something that makes me rip my hair out. The graphics are also really nice. It kinda feels like there's supposed to be some sort of plot/storyline but there isn't really, but maybe that'll get better later in the mod.

Just checked this out (finally getting on to this stuff >_>). I'm impressed so far, especially at how you've learned to included weapon and sound effects hacks despite patchy English  The level designs are really good so far, especially the first area with its careful jumps + progressive level movement. I like all the new graphics too (aside from maybe the facepics), in particular the new monster designs, and as other people have said your English probably isn't that great so I won't consider that a flaw at the moment ;) Coupla things though:
-After the island-thing stops falling, "Studio Pixel presents" flashes up for a split-second before the opening scene starts. Speaking of which, watching the island fall on every reset takes a looong time, maybe you could include it as part of the new game intro instead?
-The Impulse gun is kinda overpowered, both in damage and range (assuming this is not the "cheater machine"). The enemies aren't very threatening to begin with, and the bullets don't really need to fly all the way across the map in such tight areas. On the other hand, I like how the exp crystals actually sound like little electric jolts :D

...Wow, that really was just a coupla things. That might be a first for me >_> I always like it when pleasantly well-made mods pop out of nowhere like this. Thank you, and I await the next update. :p

I don't think it matters Lace. Mod threads should be able to get bumped regardless how dead they are, you could still make a conversation about the mod or at least say what you think about it. It's better than seeing WTF Story and King: Strife and Sacrifice being up on top of the list for like 5 years.

And then there are always 2 or 3 responses to the useless spambump post before I can get to it so I either have to leave the thread bumped or delete a bunch of junk and make it look messy.
