e: fun fact: in the half-an-hour or so since the announcement was made, i've already seen fanart for each of the new starters and a fennekin novelty account on deviantart. they sure don't waste time.

I also wonder what'll happen when Pikachu's voice actor wants to retire/gets too old/'s throat gives out

 

I can see it now. Pokemon strong male and Pokemon beautiful female. And a few year's later for the usual third and final version, Pokemon the battle of the sexes. What do you guys think?

 

Geez, that was quick. And they moved past colors/gems/metals and have gone to letters/chromosomes!

All joking aside, this looks pretty cool. Still don't have a 3DS and still haven't beaten White or obtained White 2, so I can't guarantee I'll be getting it. Also the starters actually look good, imo

 

I didn't get BW2 but I might as well pick this one up cuz' come October I'm sure I'll be looking for something new to jam to on my 3DS. Now that there are 6 generations maybe I can complete my dream team of cat-themed pokemon.

 

Too bad all the cat Pokemon they release go down in one hit :/

I don't know why they don't make some badass cats like cheetahs and jaguars :/

 

Well luxray (4th gen) as well as entei, raikou and suicune (2nd gen) were based on lions. And i dont know about you, but lions seem cool to me.

 

Could it be? The grass starter finally looks better than both the fire and water types. I guess it just boils down to personal taste though. I still can't decide which of the three 1st gen starters looks the best. Well uh anyways it doesn't look half bad. May or may not get it. Probably depends on if I have any money and/or interest at the time of release, and if I've beaten Black 2 yet.

 

Well luxray (4th gen) as well as entei, raikou and suicune (2nd gen) were based on lions. And i dont know about you, but lions seem cool to me.

Alright I'll give you the Gen2 legendaries (although suicune didn't really look very feline). I didn't play gen 4 but i always thought Luxray looked like some kind of hyped-up mouse.

I heard about this earlier today. I'm not sure whether to be excited or scared at the PROGRESS this series is making.

 

Luxray actually is most likely based on a lion, here are the reasons:

1.The star shape at the end of its tail.
2.the black hair on its head has a form that could be considered similar to a mane.
3.If bulbapedia does not lie Luxrays japanese name is rentorar, and it might be a combination of the words lens and tora (japanese for tiger).

 

I may actually have to keep my 3ds for this....

Odds are you accidentally deleted a letter or something. While im confident that the people behind this game will make another excellent generation. Its a shame they could not think of a title better then x and y.

Entei, Raikou and Suicune were not all based on lions, unless you meant they are all based off of the big feline family?

Entei is the lion, Raikou is the tiger and Suicune is the cheetah.
