The rules are simple. Each person may nominate one mod (and only one per person) by posting the name in this thread. It can be any mod or custom CS-engine game thing provided that it hasn't won before (and no mod has won yet) and I mean ANY MOD regardless of when it was made. You can nominate a mod that someone else has nominated. During the last month of the quarter period all nominations will be tallied and the most nominated mods will be voted on. This is quarterly so there will be four of these per year.

The quarter periods are: Jan-Mar (Q1), Apr-Jun (Q2), Jul-Sep (Q3), Oct-Dec (Q4)

Now without further ado, lets get nominating.

Story Off The Rails by PolarStarGames

The first bit started out rough for me, but as I persisted, I found myself getting more into the challenges. I learned that dying is sometimes necessary to restart, and text, whenever it was supplied, was very amusing. I was also taught that standing on the corners of spikes could be done without dying. I may have been silly and skipped a whole lot of heart capsules, but I found myself doing a lot of trial and error, with subtle adjustments that helped me get through many of the obstacles I've faced by playing so far.

I vote CAT HAVEN for it superiority 100 times over every other mod.

Yes, I'm voting for my own mod.

Man it sure would be nice to have a list of all mods made for the quarter so I don't have to feel my way around the Showcase section looking for mods, lol. Hmmm... I suppose if I can't choose Story off the Rails, I'll go ahead and nominate Jenn's Journey. I hope it's not too late to nominate that, I'm still a little confused with the range of time we are allowed to nominate for.

I nominate WTF? Story, by GIRakaCHEEZER.

It's got a riveting story line, amazing music, awesome new levels, creative custom bosses, very good custom graphics, and assembly hacks that you have to see to believe. Every modder wishes their mod was as good as this mod.

Is it ok if we choose our own mod?
If we can I choose: Ballos' Return. If we can't choose our own mod, I guess King's Story.

It was already nominated, though. What's the point in nominating multiple times? Is there a limit to how many mods can be up for voting?

Yes. There is a limit. Think of nominations as the voting prelims. If a mod is nominated only once it is unlikely to get into the voting block. Just nominate your favourite mod.

Until the end of May. Voting starts in June.

When I said "any mod" I meant "regardless of when they were made".

I've changed the first post to make this stuff super obvious.

Fresh out the oven, nominating Jenka's Nightmare while it's still hot.

All the reasons why are either apparent or quickly become so in the first page. Ta-ta.

Just a friendly reminder that there are just over two weeks left before nominations close and we're running a little short on nominations.

Amamichi was good, at least for its few minutes of gameplay.

I suppose I'll switch my nomination to WTF considering I was a little confused about how this worked.

Definitely, and I also feel the same way about Misery Story.
