Download at your own risk. Apparently it's playable but I don't know what the fuck I did to it since 0.3b so be careful.

Known Issues:
- Ballos may or may not be referred to as Misery's father. Ignore this.
- It's dead, Jim
- maybe


A mod about the witch Misery that takes place in certain time periods before the Doctor seizes the crown. (Events of CS)

Cool idea, but the robot invasion takes place long after the crown is made.

Presumably not in that order.

The timeline is:

Lost in the mists of time:

- Ballos goes nuts

- Jenka seals Ballos

- Misery gets Ballos to make the Demon Crown

- Misery is cursed

- Halda's and Annachponae's reigns (these are given little fleshing-out, so that makes good fuel for creativity)

10 years ago:

- Robots invade, Mimigas use Red Flowers

- Robots secure Demon Crown for Miakid

- Miakid unleashes Frenzied Mimigas on the surface

- Quote and Curly Brace fight Miakid, end up in comas.

- Miakid is defeated by unknown means (also a good spot for creativity)

A short while ago:

- Human expedition team arrives

- Fuyuhiko Date takes the Demon Crown from Miakid's skull, laughing

- and the rest is history...

One thing that's not explained, and could really have happened at any time after Misery was cursed, is how Balrog ended up cursed.

It'd be narrated by a logbook written by Misery.
Instead of finding weapons, Misery learns spells from Jenka and the Cthulhu. Maybe even from Ballos...
This of course would have to be started after jenka's nightmare is finished.

Balrog may have just been a summoned servant or something of Misery's that she never got rid of for whatever reason, possibly because the power of Ballos's curse affected him.
Gotta love how Pixel has left everything not explicitly shown/displayed in CS up to the player's imagination

Balrog doesn't look like any of Misery's summoned monsters, though. He looks rather mechanical. There's a theory floating around that he was involved in the invasion of the island.

Sounds like this mod's beggining to take form... before being started. Do you plan on learning any assembly? Or do you plan on only using Cave Editor?

I'm definitely gonna try and learn assembly. Do ya have any suggestions on where to learn it?
I know you can use ollydbg to see the assembly cave story is made of, I just need to actually know assembly.
