So I started doing full game speedruns almost 2 months ago and got (what I believe) is a super good time. 28:41

Timer starts at 'OK' and ends as soon as you kill the final boss(http://i.imgur.com/HCTlqfn.png)

This run had nearly perfect RNG in Hekichi Plateau which is partly why you saw a massive time save there. The rest of it came from using new strategies in that area. On top of that my execution was very good, although I lost some stupid time due to minor mistakes/playing safe. Obviously the 4 round on the final boss can still happen that saves like 6 seconds over my normal strategy (5 round). so basically.... ~~ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT~~

I'm probably done with Kero for a little while, because getting another run with that good RNG and good execution like that won't happen for a while. I'll probably just sit on this until someone else beats my time. Hence why i'm posting here to try and get more people into speedrunning this game!

I actually also made a tutorial for speedrunning the game. It uses a slightly slower route than the one I used in the video, but it is significantly easier to take the little bit of time to farm for the fire lvl 2 then to rock with lvl 1 the whole game.

How about you try some boss rushing?

Personally I don't have the patience for full game speedruns, since it takes so long to do just a single run and then you have to learn how to do so much of the game. I'm not sure if you're going to find anyone here who's willing to give it a shot. One question I do have to ask though is how you get that software or whatnot that records sector times and stuff.

I have done some boss rush runs, but that's just not really my style. There are actually quite a few people I know who do/have done full game runs, although I was about the only person grinding out attmepts. You'd be surprised at the amount of patience people have for speedrunning games; cave story, for example is around an hour to beat and that has a much larger runner base than this game does. We actually do races on www.speedrunslive.com about once a week, normally tuesday nights. here's an faq on speedrunslive in general http://www.speedrunslive.com/faq/
You can join us on the irc chat at #keroblaster on irc.speedrunslive.com there's usually a few people there, myself included.
Off the top of my head other people who have run kero are:
http://www.twitch.tv/magmapeach
http://www.twitch.tv/hiddendistance
http://www.twitch.tv/lurkchan
http://www.twitch.tv/cubeface21
http://www.twitch.tv/m1_account
http://www.twitch.tv/seak1ng

My reason for posting here was to gauge interest in the people who frequent these boards

The timer I am using is called Livesplit http://livesplit.org/ I really like it because of all the customization options it has.
