This evening at 8:45 EST, SirTopHat, a well-known member of the Cave Story Tribute Site modding community, made a thread in the Cave Story General Discussion forum venting his frustration at a specific challenge in Cave Story+. Wind Fortress has been said to be the most challenging part of the newst PC installment of Cave Story, and its unrelenting brutality had taken its toll on SirTopHat.

• Area 1 tip :
  If you have any problems here, just fall in the death spikes and retry... ignore the map thingy
  .
• Bottom of island tip :
  Um... Ignore damage, just focus on not falling. If you use the blade, you can probably have better results than the spur. Should only take one hit to kill the flying roaches... (insert angry gaudi here)
  Also, remember to jump as far as you can before tapping on jets.
  .
• Wind Fortress :
  Get all your health back at the beginning of this area. Just keep killing the bats and the critters, then go through the door again. Once you have full health proceed to the Curlies...
  Take your time and use the blade to kill the first few, then the Spur for all the ones on top. If you take damage, don't sweat it...
  .
• Lab area :
  Don't hug the curlies! I know I wanted to, too. That was the first thing I tried... Er... anyways, kill the zombie curlies over and over; and then return back to Wind Fortress and do it again, until you get full health. Sometimes it can take a while for them to drop hearts, but they do!
  .
• Final boss :
