This is something I've been wondering for a while. I think I've beaten Cave Story x times, where x is greater than 15 and is less than or equal to 20 (15 > x >= 20).

Well, I haven't actually played through the entire thing many times. It's more like I start a game, get to the Sand Zone, stop playing. Sometimes the Labyrinth, but the Sand Zone is just so annoying. Not to mention I didn't have it on my computer for a while. But really, I've only played through it once, and only once. I also don't plan on playing through it again anytime soon.

Like, 2. Or 3.

Yeah yeah. Bring in the hate. I said it once and I'll say it again:

I'm not obsessed with Cave Story like the rest of you. It was a good game, but I didn't like it enough to play it over and over. The value would just wear away for me. Already did with the 2 or 3 times I've played through it. So stop telling me to beat hell and play all your dang mods. Goshdarnit.

Good ending: 1 time

Normal ending: like 17 times

Bad ending: 1 time

I usually get around to completing Cave Story once a week, so I'd say 30-40 times overall.

Got that shit memorized...

Well, you definitely appreciate the game a lot more than the power players since we have a tendency to get bored with it.

I dunno, I feel like I appreciate it more now that I know the game inside-out.
I may idly complete the game every week or so, but that certainly doesn't mean it loses value to me.
It's still one of my favorite games, period. Possibly my favorite.
I love Cave Story, and playing through it again only increases my emotional attachment to it. o:

More than 15 times for sure. I mean I beat it like 5 times on the PSP.

Just for completion, I got the Hero's End, the Normal - right-after-you-beat-the-final-boss - end on both the Wii and PC ports. I'm still working on Hell on both games.

Too many. I haven't really kept count, but it's probably somewhere in the range of 5 to 100 times.

(Probably closer to 5, and that's including the times I beat it on the wii)

2 - Normal ending
2 - Good ending
1 - 3hp good ending (around 2008 i believe)
I've barely touched cs since the 3hp run, it scar'd me from the game for a long time :o

Maybe like five? I know I have save files with each of the three Polar Star trades but I haven't played the game itself for aaages. I would have played over 100 mods though.

It was a good amazing game, but I didn't like it enough to play it over and over. The value would just wear away for me. Already did with the 2 or 3 times I've played through it.

I also tried a 3-hp run but gave up about halfway through.

I might play it again once more for old times sake, if it didn't lag on my new laptop (seriously what the hell)

I've played all mods from 2005 to 2010.

ive played many mods, but some of them aren't very enjoyable.
It's hard to follow up Pixel's masterpiece with a mod, because people have such high standards.

I've tried too many mods that I've stopped playing after 10 minutes :/

Let's see...

Somewhere over 5 times on the Wii, broken and fixed (Currently I'm at Balcony with 3HP in Curly mode, argh)

2 times on the PC

and 2 or 3 times on the PSP. I should probably play it through again instead of screwing around with deathless minimal item runs... (I got up to Sand Zone, but that's it.)

Also, all good endings except for 1-2 norm. ending(s)
