I'm actually surprised there wasn't a thread on this yet.

This thread here is to list your first video games you've had, you can list them under home console and handheld if you had either at separate times. You can also post pictures of them if you desire to do so. If you got multiple video games as your first, you can list them.

Let's start off with my first games.

My first handheld video games (I got them all at once):
Monsters Inc. (GBA)

The Land Before Time (GBC)

Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Sacred Cards (GBA)

My first home console video game:
Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006 (PS2)

I'm sure there'll be a wide variety of first games here.

I started gaming when I was 5, back in 2008. I got a DSi for my birthday with New Super Mario Bros.
A couple years later, I got a Wii with Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

First game played was Sonic 3 for the Genisis. And boy did I love that game. I trained myself to roll just like Sonic. I am now a master roller.

I got my first video game when I was 7 in 2008.
It was Lego Indiana Jones. I really liked Legos back then.
The game was for PC. The first video game device I got when I was 10 was the DSI XL.

I think the first few games I played include Super Mario World(SNES) and Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land(GB).
I actually have Wario Land lying near me, so here's a (Accidentally flipped) photo if you want to see it.

I also still have SMW and a SNES, but I'm not going to look for them and make a photo of them.
And I somehow lost my GB years ago. But I did find something like a few years ago that looked like the screen of a GB, so yeah...
Good thing I have a GBA and the GBA player for the Gamecube.

One final note; Wario Land was lying close to me because I actually am playing it for nostalgic reasons.

Super Mario Sunshine was my second game. Ranking out of all Mario games, that has to be my favorite. The ones now just seem a little weird. Nintendo sure is trying hard.

I loved Mario Sunshine when I was a kid, although not near enough to be one of my first games, I just really loved everything about it. And I still do.

I just remembered that I played webkinz and poptropica before I got my DS.

EDIT:I also remember playing Nintendogs with my cousin so I could learn how to use the DS

Since people are also putting in the first games they played, I guess I can put this in as well.

First game I've ever played: NBA Jam (PS1)
I was a year old, so of course I couldn't remember, I know this from an old video my grandparents showed me.

First game I remember playing: Super Mario Sunshine
I was at a party when this happened, I remember trying to get these watermelons on a boat when I played it.

the earliest I can remember exactly is one of the nintendogs, IDK which one exactly
My brother thought he was getting the dalmations because that's what the case said, but the actual game was a different one
so I wanted to play nintendogs, so I got it from him and shared a DS with my other brother
I must've been like 6 - 8

But I definitely played some games on the gameboy color before that, just not sure which - one of them might have been tetris or something

First ever PC game: Fury^3. I doubt anybody's heard of it.
It's an unrealistic flying sim where you fly to various planets and blow stuff up.

Great game, by the way.

I've never had any consoles or handheld devices, unfortunately.

Well, the first game I remember playing was Mega Man X on my father's old snes. It was my 4th birthday so I think the year was like...2003? I was REALLY bad at it, and still am to this day.

My father regrets introducing me to videos games.

I didn't get much console exposure growing up, so these will all be PC titles. The first few "games" I played were technically edutainment software (Amy's Fun 2 3, Thinking Things, Jumpstart, Reader Rabbit, and the Clue Finders), but I'm not counting those.

The very first video game I played was an old DOS game called Cosmo's Cosmic adventure:
p204955-0-cosmos2.png
I have so many fond memories from that trilogy. Some of my other early exposure to gaming consisted of LEGO and Sonic games released on the PC in the late 90s and early 00s, such as LEGO Racers (1&2), LEGO Island (1&2), LEGO Rock Raiders, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic R, Sonic & Knuckles Collection, and Sonic CD. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the original Rayman trilogy.
