How can a bomb be made with

Jellyfish juice, Charcoal and Gum Base?

I think he already had other ingredents, but hadn't got the stuff you need to get.

Even someone who knows stuff about bombs won't know what Jellyfish Juice is made of.
Also I can't see how charcoal could possibly be used to make a bomb, but whatever, it's a cartoon.

Hmmmm...
Well charcoal is obviously the gun powder...
The gum base is to make its hard exterior (I think)...
And maybe the jellyfish juice holds it together...?
However I don't think there were any other ingredients used.

PS: This question was actually kinda tricky.

Depends on the type of explosive you're trying for.
From the sounds of it, it's a plastic-type explosive.
Perhaps Jellyfish Juice is some for of hyper-oxidizing agent.
Charcoal would be fuel.
Gum Base woult be what holds it together.

I do know a fair bit about explosives.
So does anyone who paid attention to chemistry.

Yeah but charcoal has most of the energy burned away already. You'd think a regular old piece of wood would work better.

Actually, Charcoal is an epic source of energy, provided you have high-heat and a ready supply of oxygen.

Also, I figure that when using the JJ on a fire, the sudden release of oxygen causes the fire to 'flash combust', exhausting it's fuel supply.

Ps. Nice idea, but have you ever tried to grind a log in a mortar and pestle?

Dynamite is made of sticks of charcoal covered in nitroglycerin.

It should be obvious how it works after seeing the jellies explode.

I don't know if you noticed, but every living thing in Cave Story is made of explodium.

Close, but no banana. Why would you put out a fire with a bottle of nitroglycerin? And how would you keep such a bottle from exploding?

Actually, it's nitroglycerin and a special clay powder.

Commonly available explosives such as 80% nitroglycerin grade dynamite are still used in oil well firefighting. It is believed that M. M. Kinley invented the presently used method, which was employed by experienced firefighters in the 1920s. For the mechanism, slow-speed photography indicates that the explosion acts to temporarily drive fuel away from the point where the flame develops and deprive that immediate area of oxygen to support instant reignition. Depending on fire size and prior experience, up to 500 lb of explosive may be used.

Okay, why would you put out a fire in a fireplace with a bottle of nitroglycerin? Especially in your own house? And why doesn't the bottle explode after Quote's first jump?

Because Jellyfish Juice isn't nitroglycerin. I thought that was obvious.

I think there's a discussion somehow around here on how jellyflapper juice works, but I thunk the gum base is in the middle, the charcoal is on the bottom, and the jellyfish juice is on the top. now, jelly juice absorbs heat, and malco has secretly put it in a fire before he put it in the bomb, and when you push the invisible button, the gum base slides out and is replaced on the top. the superheated, superconductive jellyflapper juice lights the charcoal on fire, and the fire ignites the gum base. now, the gum base is actually a substance similar to C4, and goes kablooie, and the door disintegrates. win.

oh, and

the reason the jellyfish jam puts out the fire is because it absorbs all the fires heat, which stops the reaction. chacos fire relights because you leave the juice there, and it restarts the fire, just like a match would.

HEAR THAT! A THEORY MORE PLAUSIBLE THAN "Jellyfish Juice is nitroglycerin".

Uhm.
You can transport nitro.
Asides, as Fire said, it ain't nitro.

And Lace. That is the most convoluted answer I've ever heard.
I'm sorry.
It's just.
Wow.
