Enables profiles to be loaded by dragging them onto Cave Story.
Please note that saving will overwrite the default Profile.dat.

See below for installation instructions.

Installation:
1) Download the DLL and place it in your Cave Story folder.
2) Either download a pre-patched EXE or use the Doukutsu Assembler patch,
and place the resultant EXE in your Cave Story folder.
3) Run it!

Heavily inspired by gamemanj's NICE.

It allows you to drag profiles on to Cave Story to load them.

If that happens on the title screen, apparently it can act like a Jukebox mode.

Indeed! I rather like that.

Just ran it, and looked at the spoilers to test, but a quick look in the C and ASM files show that it's not doing much.
I don't see the code it's using to load profiles--then again, there's some references to the D&D functions in a vanilla Cave Story EXE, so maybe it's re-enabling a feature...
Still useful if you have a lot of save files you switch between.

For future reference, I'd like to point out what a brilliant idea it is to download random files that have deliberately left out screenshots and explanation.

It's either/or for the mod download and the screenshots.

Well, if you think about it, any mod could be a virus.
Just because it has a screenshot or fake description doesn't make it any better.

Maybe, but it still extends a little more plausibility. And TLincoln, I'm not saying the mod broke the rules; merely that it was very suspicious to me.

he posted the source code right with it
look at that if you feel uncertain

there's no screenshots because there's nothing to take a screenshot of

Vanilla Cave Story has support for dragging profiles on to load them. It's just not enabled by default.

I know know how Noxid made the hack for multiple profiles, or at least a way to emulate it.

Okay.. make a thread for it? Or if you need help to write it, post your idea and I can try.

So, the way it would work is enabling it to save to a profile 2 & 3, then editing the menu to have the 3 profile option. If it is profile 1, use the normal loading. If 2 or 3, use the modified drag and drop function.

I got around to adding a "screenshot". Also, a multiple profile hack would be easy, but it's not what this thread is about ;)
