Honestly, that will never happen.
In fact, I don't think that ever will, or ever has happened, for any other more well known series, much less a semi-obscure game.

You return to the surfact to find horrible mass warfare over the handling of the island situation. A few people are escaping the fighting by building cities underground. You must stop the warfare and protect the escaping people. And you can pause and save your game.

If Pixel could make a good sequel or prequel to Cave Story, obviously that would be good. But the possibility of it as Nicalis forcing it out scares me.

I remember the war, all the blood , all the... people that I...I murdered I was a weapon I was one of em... one of the invaders... i killed innocent lifes i cant get em back... i will like but i cant i just cant... i cant even remember my name... wait i remember... quote and and... curly they were with me that day i cant remember much more my memories will come back i dont know when but i dont why i feel... special. i can now just move on
