I'm touched by your devotion to this little idea. ;) Sometime later today I'll see if I can upgrade anything else - I'm not so sure how well I can tackle the environtment - it's something totally different from doing a character's sprite.

I think, if we were to go through with creating updated sprites at 32x32, we could eventually change the global scaling value, but if we're just going to test out the updated Quote, creating a second blitting function specifically for him would be the best idea.

Are you sure we're talking about the same thing? Samples are the sounds that are changed in pitch and length to be used to make the songs in Cave Story. I think you're talking about the songs themselves, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

None of the downloads say they are the samples for the instruments and drums, unless I'm missing something.

Whilst poking around Pixel's Website, I found this little beast, full of early versions and discarded songs from an earlier version of Cave Story, including the mystery ORG. Have a listen - seom a quite good for scrapped songs. :p
