• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Also, if the story is focused on a character, while you are free to come up with a mountain of lore ideas, only sprinkle just a little bit in, unless some key points must be mentioned (i.e. in a flashback, thoughts being read by the reader, any method that isn't redundant that isn't either just the character announcing it flat out, or a fact that got retconned into the story for convenience's sake).

Thanks for the tips! I decided to start from the end and write the rest from there, It's been going pretty well so far!

generally something that works for me is to come up with the beginning, and then the event that makes things change, and then how it ends, and then from there brainstorm what i want to happen between those three markers... a lot of the time i like to leave myself enough wriggle room so that i can tweak and edit stuff on the fly as i'm writing it, though - my mod evergreen for example, i've known the ending and several events for a long time but the rest of it was written or changed as i developed the mod
