  • Apologies for the below, but there where some things that had to be said.

This is not meant to drive you off the site.

Let's just say that I tend to get rather peeved at people who act this manner.

Few things piss me off worse than unvalidated claims.

And to be honest, you don't really have to do anything. Should you wish, feel free to delete the below statement. I was not having to grand of a week, and your post was a trigger point, and, unfortunately, I wound up directing much of it at you.

I wish you good day and hope that this message and the below do not have detrimental affects.

Edit: Random note: should you reply to this or wish to, leave a visitor message on my profile.
Alright, first off, I wish to say a few things.

Why in the heck did you introduce yourself in such a manner? For one, you made little reference to what the thread was really about, the CAUSE of the explosion in egg corridor.

You went on about the game endings and the design team choices. It wasn't until the second to the last sentence did you make any attempt at all to give a unique view on what happened.

In short, you posted something that really held little value and offered nothing new.

    Wait, scratch that.

You failed to even give a reasonable cause. Not to demean you or anything, but, ya didn't do much there.

And finally, when I asked about your past as a "experienced game designer", I was expecting a few names of games you had worked and perhaps a few links should they be available on the net.

Sorry, but you sounded rather presumptuous with that first post. Making yourself sound to be rather experienced with no real evidence to even back up that claim, well, it's rather sad.

It's almost as bad as those that ask for friends. Gotta back up your claims good sir, otherwise, you will like a fool.

I suppose I too can call myself a game designer, for having made a few games as well as modding pre-existing games. (though I have yet to use assembly to create some truely unique mods)

Now, to say of myself, I've been around for the better part of a year. I have made a unreleased mod (a few people played it, quality's kinda iffy), created a few Metroid hacks (ramped up the difficulty, and hopefully made it more fun) and programmed two games (point-and-click game and a platformer) and I am currently working on a third game (another platformer, style yet to be determined). I am aiming for a CS degree in college.

Should you want proof, I will be happy to provide you with links to my work, and even downloads. (though not of the metroid hack, for I have yet to make an .isp patch of it.)

tl;dr Please offer some valid points next time you post. And please sound less pompous. I would not mind you becoming a part of this community.

And finally, I hope this did not offend you.

If it did, I sincerely apologize.
